Here a site about Harley Davidson motorcycles. All the Graphics on this site, like a 3D Harley, are unique. Last year I had plans to make a site about my great passion Harley-Davidson. As you can see right now there is not much on this site because I'm busy to rebuild it. A lot of subjects are deleted. Thats why it a small website but in some time I will expand this site with 3D Harley's and Harley related Graphics. "I'm a great fan of 3D graphics and I had the plan to make a 3D Harley in the computer. But how do you start such thing." Wallpapers I got some Harley related wallpapers wich are made by myself. I made these in 3D studio VIZ r3 and it was not easy to do I tell you. I still have a P233 and it is not made for this kind of 3D modeling but anyway I got some......

Bffb 's Joint. First off I should explain what the BFFB means. It stands for Bellymen Forever, Forever Bellymen. Bellymen Worldwide is a BBQ and eating club where all the members ride. Pretty simple and alot of fun! This place will show you some of my handiwork as a motorcycle painter and some things my friends make for bikes. There will also be some links to interesting pages, pictures of some of the work I've done on bikes, pictures of friends and good times, and some of the places I've been. I'm in the San Diego, Ca area. I paint, customize and restore motorcycles. I am a painter by trade and have been for 29 years. I have 2 Harleys...... I also enjoy drag racing and hotrods and some good blues! Well, I guess that's about it....enjoy, and let me know what you think about my page. Just drop me an E-Mail (bffb[AT]prodigy.net)any time. Again, any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for coming by and please be patient...... there will be more to come.

Critter's Ironhead Sportster Pages and Other Good Stuff. My Ironhead Sportster project is rolling now, but waiting for the engine machining to be completed. Among other things, the left case half was destroyed in an accident, so I'm having a used half matched to the right side. It's taking far longer than I thought, but I guess good work takes time... Hopefully, it will be running for the first warm day next spring. Update: 11/10/02 - Still waiting on motor... damn! The guy is a REAL old timer, and doesn't rush anything. Spoke with him on phone, mentioned I wanted to be riding my Sportster by this coming spring... I was not encouraged by his response. I may have to get my parts back and try another machinist. He has matched the case halves, so the critical part is done, but I was hoping he'd have the balancing done as well. He is renowned for a super balancing job. Fingers are crossed... maybe that will be done soon enough for me to find someone to do the rest of the work and get it together in time. Update: 8/25/03 - Yep, you guessed it... still waiting... I guess I'm going to have one SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTH runnin motor after a year of tender loving care in the old timer's hands. Spoke with him in June, cases were done, balancing done, rods done, needs to square jugs and fit pistons. I guess I should see it fairly soon. If you've ever rebuilt an ironhead, you probably have several aftermarket part horror stories to tell. As my project (72 Sportster) moves forward, I have written a few myself. I think this site should be dedicated (mostly anyway) to telling those stories, and maintaining an archive so that others who follow in our footsteps may benefit from our experience. As you probably know, most aftermarket custom parts come with little or no detailed instruction, and it's entirely up to the end user to find his way. Often, I found the part(s) to be entirely useless, unless completely redesigned and reworked. The maker of the most ironhead Sportster parts also happens to be the worst offender from what I can see. Most are Taiwanese junk, with little or no thought given to actual application. By the time I am finished, I will have a Taiwanese motorcycle, except for the fact that each part has had to benefit from a bit of good old fashioned American improvisation. Since my 72 ironhead arrived here in a basket, and I had not been the one to take it apart, one of the biggest problems I face is "what goes where?". Searching the web helps a bit, having a parts manual helps a bit, having an HD service manual from 1979 helps a little, but there were and still are a lot of things that baffle me a bit. If you have close up photos of various aspects of your early ironhead sportster, I'd sure like it if you can send them to me to post here. Once I get the engine on my frame and get down to installing things like the oil tank, battery box, voltage regulator, etc, I'm going to get close ups of that process. Someday they may help someone else. Anyway, I would like to ask you to consider submitting any good aftermarket horror stories to be placed in my soon to be built archive, and if possible, please submit photos of work in progress and finished product.

One Harley owner's take on bikes, riding, and life as it pertains to bikes. Well, after having been off the road for a year, due to circumstances I ain't talkin' about, 1998 was the year for gettin' it on. (big smile!) Since the FXR hadn't been run since 1996, I figured it was time to tear a lot of it apart, and fix all those little (and some larger) things that I made a kind of a list of, back then. Of course, as with any project, I knew there would be things I found while I was doing this — and I was ready for 'em, I thought... I hoped... Hell, yes. I was! I wound up doing a cases-up rebuild; once I got into the cases, it became painfully obvious that the previous owner (or someone acting on his behalf) had really screwed things up royally. The oil breather gear slot was completely buggered. The breather gear had over an eighth of an inch of clearance! When we went to do a leakdown test, we couldn't get any air pressure in either cylinder. And the list went on... So now the bike has new H-D cases (with original numbers), V-Thunder 3010 cam, V-Thunder adjustable pushrods, Keith Black pistons and Hastings rings, new H-D tappets, new H-D rocker arms and shafts, a QuikSilver 38mm. carb, S&S oil pump, H-D breather gear, high bars, new bar switch assemblies and wiring with Jay Brake grips, an H4 headlight with a Rainbow Strobe, and the single-fire electronic ignition with mechanical advance that I put in in 1996. Right up front, I want to thank Chris, at Northeast Motorcycles (used to be at 168 Rear, Boston Street, Lynn, Mass, but he's now at 286 Lebanon Street, Melrose, MA (781) 662-5288). He's a true and a righteous guy; he owns the shop and his wife May does the detailing. She does a fine job of it, too. Chris has years of experience in both dealer and private shops, as well as MMI school training, and he sure knows what he's doing when he works on Harleys. I can't recommend these folks highly enough, so I've decided to devote some of this site to them. Just a way of saying "THANKS!" for all their courtesy and assistance, way above and beyond "the call of duty." Go visit the Harley Rendezvous Classic, by the way - it's the BEST damn party I've ever attended! Here are some pix from the 1997 'Vous for you to take a look at. Watch Chris and Steve build a rigid chop — right here, we'll follow the progress of this wicked red rigid! Keep checking back; we'll have more pages, photos, and a rundown on the parts they use. (Well, with luck I'll have this part up soon...) This series of pages isn't going to be a list of links, nor a collection of everybody's Harleys, nor even a list of places I've been or things I've done — or not done. It's a place where I'll put some pix of my FXR (large images), and maybe a few other bikes I've seen and liked; a place where I might decide to write something about why I ride, or why some of my friends do; a place, in short, where I'll do exactly as I feel like doing. And as I learn things that might not be common knowledge, I'll put them up here, too. I hope you'll come along for the words and pictures; and maybe even email me. I've been a motorcycle rider for over 34 years; I've owned a variety of bikes from around the world, including a Zundapp, a Bridgestone, three Triumphs (two TR6, one Bonneville), two BSAs (one Star, one Rocket), several Hondas, a Montesa, a passel of two-stroke Kawi twins and triples, a VF1100 Magna, and most recently an '84 FXR. Right now, I'm making changes and adding parts to the FXR on almost a weekly basis. Here's a rundown on where I'm at, right now, with this project, with a couple of pix of it. My very first bike was a Honda 150cc Benly Touring — I commuted on weekends between Suffolk County, Long Island, and Hingham, Massachusetts with that thing. Any of you remember that little dog of a "motorcycle?" Damn valves broke just before ten thousand miles, in spite of "dealer service." I've ridden through the Long Island, New Jersey, and New England winters, and in all kinds of conditions. I average about 10K miles per year 'cause I don't get enough time to ride (does anyone?) I prefer long distance touring to anything else — although some of the places I've been to that I like the most are within 400-500 miles of where I've lived. I also intend to comment on my experiences with parts dealers, motorcycle shops, and manufacturers of both bikes and aftermarket items. I'm not going to report rumors, throw shit at anyone, or lie about anything. I am going to tell it like it is; just as it happened to me. If anyone reads these experiences and wants to take issue with them, fine. If anyone happens to work for any of the folks I talk about in either a good or a bad way, and wants to comment about my experiences, I may find it in my heart to offer them a place for their comments.

I love to ride my bike (1990 Harley Davidson Low-Rider Custom!) and have ridden more than 60,000 miles on my bike because of our short riding season, not that I dont ride in the winter, because I do, LOL! I have ridden through 22 states on my bike and have gone to Sturgis 3 times, the first time on the 50th anniversary, boy was that fun! I have been caught with in some pretty original poses!!!! My picture is in a few magazines in the years I went to Sturgis! This year I have done the Boogie Till Ya Puke (was great fun) it was their 10th anniversary! Let me see what do I like to do; riding my motorcycle, hunting, fishing (caught an 85 lb. halibut this last summer and a 42 lb King)this summer I caught a 65 lb halibut and a 35 lb King, hiking (lots of places to hike in the woods around here). The other things I like to do are to talk with people, party, play darts, pool, and swimming. I also do some crafts not as much as some of my friends but then I would rather be out side in my yard working. Ok enough about me for now!!!

Harley Rider - This page is dedicated to our son Tom who passed away on November 9,1997. A little about me I ride a 1987 FLTC (custom, limited edition, 13 0f 200). I picked it up in 1994 at a good price. Yeah, if you look hard enough, you'll still find some good deals out there! I've been riding since 1968 and this is my first Harley. I'll never go back. Ride what you enjoy and I respect you for that, but ... I know what I like. I'm a member and currently vice-president of the Twin River Riders motorcycle club in Ottawa, Illinois. We are non-denominational, (Open to all bikes). Our membership is over 100. We like to ride. My wife and I ride about 12,000 miles per year (would like to do a lot more). A couple of our members ride in excess of 20,000 miles per year. We ride 350 miles every year to a restaurant in southern Missouri for supper (A place called Lambert's). We stay overnight on that supper run. Visit the Twin River Riders Home Page. I also belong to the Streator,Il, H.O.G. Chapter and the Open Roads A.B.A.T.E. Chapter. Support your local ABATE chapter. They're helping to protect your freedom to ride. Let those who ride decide! My favorite dealer is Rod Garrett at Garrett's Harley-Davidson/Kawasaki in Kangley, Il. (just outside Streator,Il.). Stop in and visit. He enjoys talking to the customers and his staff will take excellent care of you. Note: I recently received an e-mail from a gentleman that has Muscular Dystrophy. He wanted to thank all the Harley Riders out there who attend events that raise money for MD. He says you're Top Notch. Let's increase our support in the future. Thanks.

Welcome to Harley-Davidson Ride Your Hog, This is one of the most innovative motorcycle sites on the web. We are providing information and links, to help you experience first hand the excitement of the legendary Harley-Davidson and to keep them running and looking Great. Harley Davidson History started in a Milwaukee basement back in 1903. William S. Harley and Arthur Davidson, friends from their school days they got together and started tinkering with the idea of putting an engine into a bicycle frame. Three years later two other Davidson brothers joined the group and the first true Harley Davidson was born. Little did they know at the time, was that they would eventually give rise to an American legend.
Miniature view of http://www.hotrodbikes.co.uk/ border= Hot Rod Bikes - Harley Davidson Custom & Performance
Hot Rod Bikes - Harley Davidson Custom & Performance. Revtech 100" V S&S 100" Motors: - I saw one of these all shiny in it's box on display at a show in San Jose USA and fell in love with it. 3 years later and a dead 1340 motor so I bought one, and this is the story: After it arrived missing all the run sheets that it should have come with (these motors are factory run and shipped with the results) it was fitted by my local CCI dealer and away I went with big smile. After 150miles I noticed oil coming out of the front exhaust port dripping down and making a big mess of my nice new silver motor so CCI sent out another engine, a black one, and off I went and again after about 100 miles it was dripping oil out of the front exhaust port all over the engine, so back to the dealer I go and I am really pissed off by now. CCI gave the OK for my dealer to strip the top end and replace the split valve seals. So now it is Ok and took me and my lady from London to Malaga and back with no problems, apart from one of the de-compressor plastic ends failing off leaving a sharp nail type point for me to press. Once back from Spain I decided it had done enough mileage to be able to put it on a Dyno and see what figures this big motor is doing. Click on the images below to see the run test for this engine. The top chart lines are the Revtech engine, the lower are a tuned 1340 Evo engine for comparison Based on these figures I came to the conclusion that they were in fact crap, so a few calls were made to Revtech in Germany (one bloke - not much use) and Revtech in USA (two blokes I think!) and they did admit these figures were poor and they should be nearer 100 HP but couldn't not explain why they were so bad, so I started a thread on BikersHeaven.com and got loads of replies all saying that they or someone they knew had the same problem i.e. crap HP, one guy did say he got 100 HP but had to replace most parts (Barrels, rods, heads) with S&S components. I also called a well established Harley Performance company here in England and was told that they will not sell Revtech engines due to the poor quality builds. I decided I wanted rid of this engine so called CCI Europe and suggested that they take this engine back and send me an S&S 100" and I would pay the difference, and to my surprise they said "Ok no problem" nice one! So to cut a long story short-ish, I got my S&S 100" 4" stroke, 4" bore motor and it is great, I have Dyno'd it and was very pleased with the results of 98.2HP and 93 Torque at the wheel, so close to the big 100 HP but close enough to get there without to much hassle, maybe a good set of leads, plugs and decent petrol will get it there. See Dyno sheets above right Later this year I will take it back to the Dyno so I can tune to Supertrapp exhaust and S&S Super carb. Next winter I plan on flowing the heads as that can give 10HP est or maybe more :o) If you have found any of this info useful please sign the guestbook

Since I was a kid I had to take things apart, I still do, to find out how something works. It started with bicycles and skateboards and through the time with mopeds I ended up with motorcycles. My first bike's were mostly dirt bikes and off roads, then in 1989 I finally had the money to buy my first Harley-Davidson. A 1000cc Sportster XLS(Speedster) from 1981. This Bike was based on Peter Fonda's Panhead chopper "Captain America" from the film Easy Riders. After the sporty, about 1 year later, the next bike was an original import 1340cc Wide Glide FXWG from 1982 from the States. In the 6 years I modified it here and there and in 1996 it was time again for something new. This time I decided to do it differently. It had to be a Softail with fat wheels, stretched tank's, Evo engine and it had to be low. I traded my shovel in for parts and the shop where I did this took care of the registration. This Evolution engine is a lot faster than the old Wide Glide Shovel engine but the problem is that you drive a lot faster as well. Since I wanted be a bit careful with this bike and keep it in good condition I decided it was time to build a bike that handles well with good performance and a bit of reliability. I wanted to do it cheap so I had to do almost everything myself. This was my biggest project till now and it took me 5 years to finish it, and it still isn't. It's not only building time but there where periods I had to wait for or find parts, busy with other things or out of money. Early 2003, when it was almost ready, the government changed regulations and now its not as easy anymore to get it registered. I succeeded to make an appointment for testing the bike 2 days before they changed the rules. The test was no problem at all and I got through this in one time.

Harley Davidson : - It's a rumble that resonates in a rider's soul, deep and steady, something that you feel as much as you hear. It's 45-degree, V-twin note is unmistakable; no other bike makes that sound. On a desert back road or on a crowded city street, it's insistent roar demands attention and commands respect. It's the unmistakable sound of American Motorcycling; It's the sound of a Harley Davidson. For more then 90 years Harley Davidson has been the brand for Motorcyclest seeking a special riding experience that's tangible in its wind-in-your-face, freedom-of-the-open-road particulars, but nearly intangible in more important ways. Harley Davidson riders form a bond with the Motor company's rich history.
